Fellow Health Partners Announces “Top Doctors” Advisory Board
“Top” doctors provide insights, input, and suggestions about how to improve billing and revenue
Great River, NY— October 18, 2018. Fellow Health Partners, Inc., a New York based medical business solutions company, today announced the names and qualifications of four doctors who have agreed to join its Advisory Board.
CEO Michael N. Brown said, “This advisory board is a strong addition to the brainpower and talent that is helping to guide Fellow Health Partners. They will provide strategic as well as tactical, ‘front lines’ input for our Board of Directors and Executive Team.”
He added, “We feel honored that these remarkable doctors have joined our Advisory Board. They are on the front lines of patient care which puts them in a great position to give us feedback on topics like high deductibles, billing solutions, insurance company bottlenecks and software improvements. They deal with patients and billing every day and we take their input very seriously.”
Joining the Advisory Board are Doctors David Pereira, Jeffrey Rosen, Dimitrios Christoforu, and Jack Choueka.
Dr. Pereira has been treating patients in the New York area for over 20 years. He’s a practicing Orthopedic Surgeon who graduated from New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute. After completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, he returned to New York City and joined the Medical Staff at NYU. He is currently a member of the Division of Sports Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center. Committed to serving a diverse patient base, he often draws on his fluency in many languages, including Spanish and Portuguese.
Dr. Christoforou works on both the clinical and the academic side of medicine. He graduated from New York University, completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Disease and his fellowship at Harvard Medical School (Hand, Upper Extremity and Microsurgery). He served as staff physician at Madison Square Garden and has published over 20 peer reviewed articles. He has insight into both hospital and practice billing issues and opportunities.
As the Chair of the Maimonides Bone & Joint Center in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Choueka also provides insights into both hospital and practice billing, including interactions with insurance companies. A skilled surgeon, he always thinks of the patient first, utilizing any methods possible for them to avoid surgery. He completed his residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and his fellowship at University of Chicago Hospital. Recently, he received the Joseph H. Boyes Award for Excellence in Hand Research.
Dr. Rosen, an orthopedic surgeon, is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Queens hospital, and an Associate Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. With decades of experience, he sees first-hand the impact of insurance companies and billing issues in both office and hospital systems.
Says Michael N. Brown, “We now have even greater depth at Fellow Health Partners. Our Board of Directors is already composed of top talent, including Dr. Phil Schrank whose resumé says it all – Orthopedic surgeon, pro team doctor and Medical Board President. We are joined by Dirk Gorman who built one of the most successful medical device sales companies in the nation, as well as Abby Pendleton, founding shareholder of The Health Law Partners, P.C. who regularly provides counsel to healthcare providers and organizations in a number of areas including billing and compliance.”
