Michael’s goal is to help make the business of healthcare easier and more profitable for all stakeholders. His focus is on enhancing innovation and customer service through customized medical business solutions that drive efficiency, profitability, and growth.
Michael was attracted to the healthcare business when he learned how “broken” the medical billing industry was. Rather than try to fix something that was broken, he took on the challenge of building something new, which gave birth to Fellow Health Partners.
Prior to founding Fellow Health Partners, he spent more than 15 years developing and executing on operational and financial business strategies working at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Loughlin Management Partners + Co. His experience spans many industries, including healthcare, retail, manufacturing and technology, ranging from startups to Fortune 500s.
Michael holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA with a specialization in Accounting, Finance and Taxation.
Mr. Gorman spent over 15 years building and driving Empire Surgical, one of the most influential orthopedic medical device sales companies in the nation. His organization’s unparalleled success was due to its intimate partnerships with the most prominent orthopedic surgeons, institutions, and offices in the Tri-state area. In addition to his success in multiple industries, he has funded, launched, and led start-up companies to successful sale, turned fledgling organizations back to sustainable growth, and stewarded mature entities to remain consistent. Currently, Mr. Gorman is the President of Trade Supply Group, a boutique private equity group that specializes in acquiring and managing building supply companies – lumber, hardware and bath, construction, and distribution. Presently, the growing portfolio oversees $200mm, 7 different companies, and over 300 employees.
Abby Pendleton is a founding shareholder of The Health Law Partners, P.C. The firm represents entities in the health care space including but not limited to, health systems, physician groups, billing and management organizations, hospices, pharmacies, labs and other healthcare providers and suppliers with respect to their healthcare legal needs.
Ms. Pendleton has been practicing healthcare law since 1996, and she co-leads the firm’s Medicare, Medicaid and Third Party Payor Audit Appeals practice group and the Compliance group. She regularly provides counsel to healthcare providers and organizations in a number of areas, including, but not limited to: compliance, reimbursement matters, Medicare, Medicaid and other payor audits, HIPAA Privacy and Security, contracting, and physician staff privilege and licensure matters. She also specializes in legal issues impacting billing and management companies, anesthesia and pain management providers, hospice providers and mental health agencies.
A renowned Orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of shoulder and sports medicine injuries, Dr. Schrank has performed over 2000 shoulder surgeries in which he routinely applies state of the art surgical and rehabilitative techniques returning patients back to work, sports, and life as quickly as possible. His extensive experience includes working with the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Angels, and the USC Trojan football team while serving his fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He also served as President of the Medical Staff and Chairman of the Medical Board at St. Charles Hospital from 2010-2012 and was a co-founder of St. Charles Hospital’s ThinkSMART!™ Concussion Management Program.
Peter’s focus is to help clients grow based on enhanced data analytics along with process and revenue cycle improvements.
Working closely with the CEO, his role directly impacts revenue, billing, operations, and accounting.
His extensive experience includes financial analytics, business intelligence, logistics, revenue cycle processes, and management at hospitals and medical facilities, including Northwell, Mt. Sinai, and Columbia. He rounded out his sales and tech experience by immersing in an e-commerce company where he worked in finance and operations.
Peter’s education includes a BBA in Finance from Queen’s College and an MBA in Quality Management from Hofstra.
Committed to ongoing learning and growth, he has embraced many tools that help him excel, including lean Six Sigma.
Ali is the Chief Systems Architect for Fellow Health Partners. In this role, he is responsible for three critical aspects of the company’s operations: Managing the Fellow Health Partners’ technology development team who work together to design proprietary software; Managing the implementation and integration of all necessary software and hardware to optimize the client experience; and supporting and updating all necessary technology infrastructure for clients and Fellow Health Partners.
Ali holds a BA in Computer Science as well as extensive qualifications in a wide range of Medical Billing software including, among others – SequelMed, NextGen, Allscripts, drchrono, Epic, Cerner, and eCW. His extensive knowledge helps him build appropriate interfaces to seamlessly integrate Fellow Health Partners’ software with any system that a practice or facility might currently use.
Emma has been working in medical billing since 2006, working her way through almost every function in a medical billing company from payment and charge posting to coding compliance.
Her extensive experience includes multiple billing systems ranging from Epic and eClinical to All Meds and SequelMed.
She is both a CPC (Certified Professional Coder) and an AN-CPC (Certified Professional Coder with specialty in Anesthetics).
As a Division Director at Fellow Health Partners with a strong focus on customer service, she describes her role as “managing her team to act as an extension of the medical office, working to bring efficiencies to billing processes and clinical profits, while being highly responsive to any client request.”
After 10 years of experience in medical billing and denial management for large hospital groups, Alexandra joined Fellow Health Partners.
As a Division Director, her goal is to help clients maximize reimbursements from payers while providing insights into process improvements. To achieve this, she collaborates with her team, using coding data along with her years of experience. Her goal is to help clients and patients feel valued and served throughout the complexities of the health care system.
Her experience includes executing all operational aspects of medical billing and accounts receivables; employee training and client relations; benchmarking key performance indicators; and complying with all relevant government regulations.
Alexandra has a Medical Assistant degree and is a CPC (Certified Professional Coder).
Amy’s focus is to help ensure that our clients are supported and served at the highest level of professionalism while providing personalized Medical Business Solutions to doctors and hospitals that want to save money and improve the bottom line.
She describes her role as “acting as a resource for medical practices and providers, working to enhance billing processes while being highly responsive to any client request.”
In order to maximize Fellow Health Partners’ customer service and to leverage efficient internal and external communication, Amy is also focused on working with the team to continually enhance their strong “people skills.”
Prior to joining Fellow Health Partners, she spent over 15 years at executive levels in print media, focused on teamwork and productivity.
Sue has been servicing large hospitals since she began her career in medical billing over 30 years ago.
She began with a large anesthesia group in New York City, which has remained an important client even as the business grew considerably.
Today Sue oversees a team of over 100 professionals servicing more than half a billion dollars in charges across a wide range of specialties with particular focus on orthopedics, pain management, and anesthesia.
She spends the majority of her time at Fellow Health Partners focused on Revenue Integrity and client servicing, where her expertise helps ensure compliance and optimal revenue for clients. For 20 years, Sue has been a CPC (Certified Professional Coder by the AAPC).
Philippe Denichaud is the lead on developing human capital at Fellow Health Partners. His role includes consistently identifying, developing, and delivering ongoing training programs for the company’s Knowledge College as well as teaching managers how to deliver training.
A key to his success is a rigorous focus on using adult learning theory and causal-based training to help the learning “stick”, a critical component for Fellow Health Partners as it rapidly scales.
For over 35 years, he helped grow businesses valued all the way from $1 million to over $1 billion, impacting organizations from the President and CEO down to people on the shop floor.
His educational background is Commerce, Finance and Industrial Psychology. He is also a Certified Management Consultant.
Fran’s determined to spread the word about Fellow Health Partners so that more doctors, practice managers and hospitals are aware of what makes the company “meaningfully different”.
As an experienced marketing executive who also runs her own award-winning creative branding agency, Fran is responsible for the company’s overall marketing and branding initiatives in all media spaces. She ensures that Fellow Health Partners’ message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences in order to meet sales objectives.
When asked about what makes Fellow Health Partners “different”, she starts with empathy – the way that everyone in the company puts themselves in their customer’s shoes first, so they can do a better job of understanding the customer’s world. Fran says that empathy led them to the company’s motto, “Medicine is complicated. Billing shouldn’t be.”

Nicole is a results-focused human resources leader delivering talent acquisition, and retention solutions to harness the full power of our most valuable asset — our people. She is dedicated to creating a robust corporate culture and cultivates customer loyalty by empowering and motivating employees to realize their full potential and bring their best to the job.
Nicole spent three years in customer service-centric roles, learning the importance of communication, collaboration and teamwork for the business while working with major pharmaceutical companies to plan and execute medical device launches, advisory board and national sales meetings.
Nicole serves on Suffolk Community College Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Advisory Committee, has a BAS in Merchandising and Management, and is certified in Human Resource Management and Analytics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Drawing on more than 40 years’ experience as a financial executive, Steve helps guide financials for the company. His medical experience includes key positions at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ, The Mount Sinai Healthcare System and The Presbyterian Hospital (New York City and Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY).
His experience in managing all aspects of financial operations and strategic planning includes Revenue Enhancement programs, Accounts Receivable reduction programs, and System Conversion efforts. A Certified Public Accountant in New York State, he has also audited financial records for a public accounting firm as well as a Medicare Intermediary.
Jack is on the Advisory Board at Fellow Health Partners.
Before he came to medical billing, he gained extensive experience in global operations while working with Chase Manhattan as CFO for the international department.
Prior to joining Fellow Health Partners, Jack owned and operated Billing Services Inc. (BSI) for over 25 years. After BSI merged with Fellow Health Partners, they continued to service clients at the Hospital for Special Surgery, the #1 Orthopedic hospital for the past 10 years.
Lorraine has a broad background in medicine that gives her a unique perspective into medical billing.
Trained as a nurse, she worked in hospital settings and a doctor’s office before being introduced to the billing side of the business where she excelled because of her deep knowledge of processes, procedures, and terminology.
Now, with 15 years of experience, she manages a team dedicated to making sure that clients continue to grow revenue.
Lorraine says, “I love being part of a team. We work closely and because I know the process from A to Z, it really helps. This job is all about problem solving and being a detective, to identify everything that is necessary to make sure it’s done right.”
She adds, “What I like about Fellow Health Partners is the management training that helps us grow. I have never encountered anything like it in all my years in health care.”
Jennifer is a Charge Manager and Head of Compliance at Fellow Health Partners, both vital roles in medical billing. Accurate and efficient Charge Entry (coding) directly affects revenue, which is why her coding experience and focus are invaluable in helping to ensure that doctors are paid everything they’ve earned for their work.
Compliance focuses on making sure that everyone – from our employees to the doctors, facilities, and administrators that we serve – all comply with all mandated rules and regulations regarding billing, privacy, and processes.
She currently oversees a growing team of Fellow Health Partners’ coders and continues to help educate doctors about how to most effectively apply current coding procedures.
Jennifer’s extensive experience in coding is supported by her Certifications which include both Professional Coding Instructor (CPC-I) and Radiation Oncology Certified Coder. She is also a member of AAPC (The American Association of Professional Coders) and lead coding trainer at our Knowledge College™.
With more than 12 years’ experience in Medical Billing, Kimberly has worked in every aspect of the business, giving her an all-round view of the total billing process. She rounded out her view even further with billing experience in states as diverse as New York, Louisiana, and Georgia.
She believes that her team is the secret to outstanding customer service, because, as she says, “When they work together as a unit, teamwork makes the dream work!”. She adds, “I love the billing business because there is always something new to learn with regard to insurances and billing guidelines. At Fellow Health Partners, they embrace these changes and give you the tools needed to perfect your skills.”
During her career, she has earned CBCS certification (Certified Billing and Coding Specialist) from the National Healthcareer Association as well as her CPC (Certified Professional Coder) from the AAPC (American Association of Professional Coders).
Erica started work in the healthcare field over 20 years ago, gaining a deep understanding of the real world of practices, systems, technology, and training.
“I really got to see the world from the provider side”, she said, “because I was mainly training front and back office staff as well as doctors, while implementing practice management and EHR Systems in Doctors’ offices and clinics.” This gave her both empathy and insight when she moved into the billing side of the business.
Managing a dedicated and committed team, she believes they are the backbone of Fellow Health Partners’ success because they manage the smooth flow of information into, out of, and within the company’s billing headquarters. This includes the critical function of bank reconciliations.
Like many of Fellow Health Partners’ managers, she says that she was attracted to her job by the professional management and ongoing training provided to every member of the staff.
