Michael N. Brown is chief executive officer of Fellow Health Partners, Inc., a medical business solutions company that he founded in 2017. Based in Great River, Fellow Health Partners provides a range of services to help health care professionals and institutions improve their bottom line.
The company provides billing expertise, office and work flow solutions, revenue cycle management optimization and strategic growth advice to drive efficiency and profitability for health care companies. In just five years, Fellow Health Partners has grown to employ more than 200 employees.
Brown transitioned to the medical billing industry after a career in business consulting, in which he worked with large multi-national companies across many industries. In researching the medical billing field, he found it was changing rapidly due to growth and consolidation in the health care industry.
Through his research, he discovered that traditional industry servicing models were struggling to keep up with this accelerated rate of change, and he realized an opportunity to provide a better product. Brown sought to modernize medical billing and make it more transparent, and the company applied innovative methods to streamline and enhance the billing process.
Prior to founding Fellow Health Partners, Brown was director at Loughlin Management Partners & Co., a business advisory firm that has since been acquired by BDO. While there, he applied extensive financial and operational experience to advise clients how to execute profitable growth strategies. Prior to Loughlin Management Partners, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Brown’s operational work experience includes large retail, manufacturing and health care companies.
As a thought leader in the health care industry, Brown has spoken at multiple conferences
and has been interviewed in publications such as Forbes, Fortune and Entrepreneur. Active in the professional community, he sits on several local and national boards in addition to serving as chairman at Fellow Health Partners.
Brown holds a Master of Business Administration from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
